We are looking forward to a great day on Grandparents & Special Visitors Day on Wednesday, December 25th. A few important notes: * When you arrive at BPY, your child/ren's guest/s will be greeted at the check in table and will receive a name tag. They will then be directed as follows, depending on the grade: 8:30 am-10:00 am: Program for Grades 1-4 Grade 1: Students and visitors will begin in the library for tefillah and will then go to the 1st grade classrooms Grade 2: Students and visitors will begin in the Chumash room for tefillah and will then go to the 2nd grade classrooms Grades 3 and 4: Students and visitors will begin in the indoor playroom for tefillah and will then go to the large gym 10:30 am-12:00 pm: Program for Early Childhood Grades Toddler-Kindergarten: All early childhood visitors will begin in the auditorium and will then go to the early childhood classrooms A few additional notes: 1) Parking: Parking will be available in all the parking lots surrounding the school (across the street, next to the school, and near the top of the street). We ask that everyone please refrain from parking on Frisch Court itself as the road in front of the school is a fire lane must be kept clear. 2) Dismissal: Dismissal for all students is at 12:00 pm on December 25 and there is no lunch in school and no busing. We have asked all of our parents to please inform the office about dismissal plans for their children in advance. We cannot release children at the end of the day without written instructions from their parents. Also, please note that children in grades 1-4 will have class when their special program ends at 10:00 am and should not attend the early childhood program from 10:30 am-12:00 pm. 3) Building Accessibility: If your child/ren's guest/s require special assistance or ramp access to enter our building, please let us know ahead of time so we can make sure to have someone available to help when you arrive. Please e-mail grandparents@benporatyosef.org or call 201-845-5007 x35 to make arrangements. 4) Parents: We love having so many BPY parents join us for this special program each year. If your child has other special visitors (in addition to you), we just ask that you please be sensitive to the physical space constraints in the classrooms and use your judgment about participating in the classroom program along with your child and his/her other special guests. Although we wish they would, we have not yet figured out a way for the walls to expand for this program If your child's classroom seems like it is already very crowded, we would be thrilled to have you help direct other guests, take pictures in other classrooms, or just enjoy refreshments and chatting in the auditorium. (Please note that if you are a third or fourth grader parent, this request does not apply to you as the program for those grades will be held in the gym where there is plenty of room for everyone!) |
