Discovery Learning Day on Thursday, 2/27 We are looking forward to our next Discovery Learning Day project for students in grades 1- 8 scheduled for this Thursday, February 27, 2014. Students will have the opportunity to design and test their own catapult machines. At this time we are seeking volunteers to spend the day with our students to guide them in fashioning their models and testing them. If you would like to join us please email Mr. Fischman at FischmanS@benporatyosef.org. |
Correction to: Bar/Bat Mitzvah Chessed Initiative In last week's Daily Bulletin, we featured an article about Chevrat Chessed's new Bar/Bat Mitzvah Initiative. In the article we mentioned that Reina Amar (grade 6) has chosen to support A Package from Home which is an all-volunteer organization that supports Israeli soldiers, most especially lone soldiers by collecting needed items for the troops, raising money, and running a card writing campaign. Reina is collecting: toothbrushes, lip balm, non aerosol deodorant, travel size tooth paste, & "Hotties" hand and feet warmers. All items will be sent to Israel to be distributed through care packages packed for the soldiers. If you would like to help, a collection box will now be placed by the front of the school to drop off the above items. |
