Discovery Learning Day for Grades 1-5

We are anxiously looking forward to our second Discovery Learning Day, scheduled for Thursday, February 27, 2014. Our students will study the physics, mathematics and engineering of CATAPULTS.

At this time we have two requests:

1) We would like to have parent volunteers to spend the day with our students. If you would like to join us please email Mr. Fischman at FischmanS@benporatyosef.org

2) Together with your children, please collect and send the following items to school:

Plastic caps (from gallon milk containers, soda bottles etc. [The bigger the better])
Cardboard tubes (from gift-wrap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.)

Please leave these materials in the box near Mr. Fischman's office.

Nut Allergy Reminder

We would like to remind everyone that BPY is a nut-aware (and hopefully nut-free) facility. No products containing nuts, peanuts or traces of nuts are allowed to be brought into the building. We have many students who are allergic to nuts and some of whom are extremely sensitive. Please read food labels carefully before bringing foods to school. If your children have eaten nuts at home in the morning, please be sure that their hands and faces have been washed before coming to school. If snacks/lunches that contain nuts are brought to school, the student will NOT be permitted to eat it.
