Please be advised that the Junior High Tefillah Program trip scheduled for tomorrow at the Ross Dock has been cancelled due to the weather forecast. As of right now, a new date has not been scheduled.

Thanks to your efforts, we have now met our first two communal goals and have surpassed the $25,000 mark. Included in that number is the $2,500+ our children have earned for the scholarship fund through their chesed activities. As promised, all BPY students will get to enjoy a sweet treat in school tomorrow to celebrate our success!

But we need EVERYONE'S help to get us to our goal. The walkathon is less than 4 weeks away so there is no time to wait. If you have not already done so, please put your page up now (just click here). If your page is up, start sending those e-mails, doing chesed activities with your kids, and coming up with creative ways to support the scholarship fund (BPY families have already scheduled shiurim with suggested donation admission, held lemonade stands and cookie sales, and planned "spinning for scholarship" and similar events). We will help publicize your activities and mini-fundraisers through the BPY Daily Bulletin - simply send the details to development@benporatyosef.org.

Note About BPY Walkathon Heroes Publicity

As has been our practice in years past, we will be publicizing the efforts of BPY families to raise money for the walkathon by running special programs like shiurim, exercise classes, and food sales. Please be aware that, just as with the PTO's Annual Thanksgiving Bake Sale, the school cannot provide supervision or hashgacha for any food prepared in private homes.
